About Us

Our new fully refurbished boutique Bed & Breakfast in the vibrant and stunning area of Malborough. We are perfectly located to explore this area of outstanding natural beauty and enjoy the picturesque harbour village of Salcombe, famous for it’s beaches, sailing and stunning coastline. With views across the hills and towards Hope Cove, Brightham House is set in a large, three-storey welcoming Victorian villa with bags of character.

OUR ROOMS.

We aim to offer homely luxury, with beautiful décor, new comfortable beds for a great nights sleep, immaculate and modern bathrooms, fresh white, high-grade cotton linen and fluffy towels. Each of our 8 bedrooms are uniquely and individually decorated and designed in a chic style, ranging from our calming forest room to our vibrant carousel room. They offer the feel of a luxury hotel, with the homeliness of a B&B. All our rooms are en-suite ranging from a cosy double to king rooms most with countryside and village views. We have somewhere safe to store bikes and muddy boots and we can accommodate well behaved dogs in 3 of our rooms which are separate from the rest of the house (Please contact us directly before booking to check availability).

BREAKFAST, DINE, DRINK.

Served in our light-filled, welcoming breakfast room with plenty of choice, whether Continental, traditional full English or a combination, breakfast is freshly cooked by the owner – a professional chef – using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Malborough has 2 fantastic pubs to choose from or you can walk down the hill to Hope Cove, which is only 2 miles away with its sandy coves and several pubs and restaurants or Salcombe (around 2 miles) and sample many of the waterside eateries serving local seafood and produce.

GUEST BAR.

You can relax in our comfy seating areas or beautiful courtyard garden with a drink from our 24hr bar stocked with local beers, wines and spirits, including the exceptionally good, Salcombe gin.

PARKING.

We have a small, private car park and a safe village car park, just a 2-minute walk away.
