About Us

Helpful Holidays

Helpful Holidays,

Let us help you choose from over 600 holiday homes in the wonderful West Country. Our properties include cosy cottages, stylish apartments and individual homes of great charm – many overlooking fine sandy beaches or nestling in picturesque harbours or sheltered riverside settings, whilst others are tucked away in peaceful villages in moorland locations.

A family-run business founded over 30 years ago we’ve built our reputation on unwavering commitment to our core values: honesty, attention to detail and a tell-it-like-it-is approach.

For two years in succession we’ve achieved Feefo Gold Trusted Merchant Accreditation in recognition of excellence in customer service.

We’ve also won gold or silver awards in the best Medium UK Cottage/Self Catering Booking Company category at the British Travel Awards for the past four years, as well as scooping The Sunday Times Travel Editor’s Award.

Our knowledgeable telephone team has first-hand knowledge and experience of all the properties in the area (we have over 140 for you to choose from in the South Hams, sleeping 2 to 48, and 11 beautiful homes located in Salcombe), and can help guide you to your perfect holiday home.

If you want to talk to someone who has visited a particular property, please just ask Helpful Holidays.

On our website you’ll find we give full and frank descriptions of all our holiday homes – with lots of large photos of each property. There you can also check live availability and pricing, make a shortlist, share it with your friends as well as book and pay securely for your holiday online. Click here for our latest offers…..

“Renting a property through Helpful Holidays is like having it chosen by a like-minded friend. Add in good value and excellent service and you have a simple service done superbly well.” Stephen Bleach, Chief Travel Editor, Sunday Times.
